Database Retrieval & Analysis Module for NRDB

The primary goal of this application would be to Retrieve data from NR census repository on taluka, district and state basis and provide a periodic assessment/report on state of Natural Resources. The software would also perform change detection using multi-date data of land-use to find out the difference that have occurred over the particular interval of time.

Database Retrieval and Analysis Module for NRDB (Land use) provides the status of the natural resources. NRDB is the Natural Resource Database that stores the Land use details and supportive information to it. The application provides functionalities for retrieval of NR census data on Administrative boundary, village, taluka, district, state and country (in level wise and category wise). India has an on-going programme for “National Natural Resources Management System (NNRMS)” that addresses national, state and local requirements of natural resources information and establishment of an integrated management for the natural resources. NRDB is visualized to be a collection of data sets on natural resources collected over past several years under NNRMS.

Application Customization Approach

The current requirement in the country is that NNRMS must enable a systematic inventory creation and repository of natural resources data that will be accessible to common citizens of society, decision-makers in government, private and academia. Combining a systematic mapping activity with a GIS database activity would enable the natural resources repository to be used for planning exercises. The main objective of this application is to design and develop a Database retrieval and analysis for NRDB (Land use).
